Melissa Suzanne George from Australia is an Australian actress, inventor, and businesswoman. Her career began in Australia, and later moved to Hollywood in which she has achieved great success. George is a Perth native, who was attracted initially by artistic roller skating and dancing. Her modelling career began in her early twenties, when she won the Western Australia Teenage Model Award in 1992. The actress made her debut on screen that year with an episode on Seven Network's soap series Home and Away. Following her first appearance on the big screen in Dark City's mystery thriller she played a variety of support characters on Alias The Limey, Down with Love and other projects before taking her first role as a lead female character in mainstream Hollywood in 2005 remake The Amityville Horror. She's currently among Hollywood's most sought after Australian ex-pats. George created Style Snaps, her product as an inventor.
