Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress, producer and director. Her work has been recognized for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano won her several awards which included an Oscar. Actresses have a long experience of performing on Broadway, Off-Broadway and other projects. From the time she was a child she's been passionate about performing. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. When she was in the fifth grade after having mumps she lost hearing in her left ear. She did not let it stop her from performing. In her early years, she was a drama student in college and moved into New York City from Pittsburgh to follow her dreams. Through a random encounter, she became trapped in an elevator along with writer Beth Henley and the two worked together on the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. Following her move into Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered an acting role as a support for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. In the three decades since her time in Los Angeles Holly Hunter has been in many films, series and television films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
